| Two loads of compost being delivered |
| Murray Bishop has worked wonders - Room 9 student seen here are planting the feijoa trees with him - the lemon trees, the apple tree and the rosemary hedge were transplanted as well. |
The new vegetable/ herb garden is being cleared by Mr Hughes and Mr Burnett. A lot of rubbish- pumice, metal, sheets of iron, plastic.... was found. The enviro group have the job of clearing the area and then topsoil can be brought in and levelled. After that everything in the old vegetable garden area can be moved onto the new site. This is going to be a huge job as we have to move a picket fence, the garden shed, a rosemary hedge and a feijoa hedge. three lemon trees, lots of herbs and the wooden planter boxes. Water for this garden is still to be organised- we would love to win $1000 to put towards irrigating, from the competition we have entered, but it has been hard getting people to vote on the Facebook page!
