Mc Cain barcodes have been posted- thanks very much to those who were able to help with our collection. Now we have to wait to see how many points we have accumulated- hopefully enough to order something to help with our school vegetable garden.... a wheelbarrow would be great!!( Wishful thinking?)
Year two students were given sunflower seeds to plant ,(with great growing instructions), just before the school holidays started. They were donated by the Taupo Moana Rotary club and in February or March next year the club will come and measure the tallest plants. Prizes will be given for the best and second best in each of the year two classes- by next year those students will be in year three classes. The picture above shows the 2011/2012 winners.
On November 6th a group of ten Enviro students will be going with Mrs. Gibson to a workshop day at Wairakei Primary School. Our Enviroschools facilitator is Amanda Jones- it was good to have her with the Enviro group at their last Hilltop School meeting in September.
The Life Education Trust visited Years 1- 6 during the last two weeks of Term 3 and Harold and Jude are returning to work with Team 5 early next term. We love meeting up with Jude and Harold- this photo is inside the truck with Room 9 and Jude. Harold is listening from behind the curtain in the corner.
Nicole is a member of the Enviro Group and here is a selection of photos she took in her family's Spring garden to share with us- thanks Nicole. Her bees will certainly be loving the flowers.
